What our clients are saying

"I just wanted you to know what a wonderful feeling it was to come home and walk into my house and see what a fabulous job you once again had done with our carpets. We had what I call a "Pastel Christmas" (some call Easter), but if you would have seen the chocolate, the eggs, the - I do not even know what - messes on our carpet - and all I thought was - that's OK - Jim will get it clean - and that is what happened."

"What a nice Valentine's Day present to get our West house 1st floor carpet cleaned! It looks fresh and now has no spills/stains! It makes a huge difference to have clean carpet, especially, in this house where we house kids who've had transplants."

Frequently Asked Questions

Preparing For A Cleaning

What do I need to do to prepare for a professional carpet or tile and grout cleaning?

We asked that you removed any knick-knacks and breakables from  coffee tables, end tables, etc. Do not place these items on furniture to be moved. We will not move any furniture containing these items. We also ask all antiques and heirlooms that cannot be replaced to be removed completely from the cleaning area. We ask that all small items be removed from the floor such as magazines, newspapers, etc. We ask that you not move furniture to the middle of the floor, as these will be moved as necessary, after cleaning in front of them.

How long will it take to clean?

This depends on the amount of cleaning scheduled but as a guide, in an average home with average soiling conditions a carpet cleaning will take approximately 1 ½ hours. Tile cleaning will vary.

What about my pets and/or children?

We ask they be removed from the cleaning areas. This is for safety as well as their own comfort.

Should I roll up my area rug to be picked up?

We ask that you not roll up your area rug. We will want to do a pre-inspection and discuss any areas of concern with you before removing the rug.

After Cleaning

How long will it take to dry?

We have taken extreme measures to upgrade our equipment to assist in drying your carpets quicker than ever. But this will also depend greatly on the humidity in the air and your particular carpet. Generally , it will take 2-4 hours to dry. Our technician will give you a good idea before he leaves your home. Tile cleaning will be about the same as if you mopped your floor. If it has been sealed, sealer will take approximately 2-4 hours to dry. Please take care in this time not to step on the grout lines. It will take approximately 24 hours to cure.

How long should I leave the blocks and tabs under my furniture?

We ask that you leave them at least overnight. This will insure your carpets are completely dry before removing them.

Is there anything I can do to help my carpet dry quicker?

There are several things that can be done to assist in the drying process. Turning on ceiling fans and heating/air conditioners or opening windows. The technician will advise you of the best ways to help after your cleaning.

Can I walk on my carpet while it is still damp?

You can walk on your carpet immediately after the cleaning. However, your carpet will be more susceptible to resoiling while it is still damp. Our technician will leave you shoe covers to use should you be required to walk on your carpet while it is still damp.

What if I have a question or concern after my cleaning?

Please feel free to call or email us. We are here to address all of your questions or concerns.

General

How often should I vacuum my carpet?

How often you vacuum your carpet will be unique to your home.  In an average household, you should vacuum the entire carpet once a week and once or twice more in the heavy traffic areas.  If pets and/or kids are present or your carpet sees more traffic the more the traffic areas should be vacuumed.

When should I have my carpet professionally cleaned?

You should have your carpets cleaned as soon as you start to see overall soiling remaining after you vacuum. This means vacuuming alone is not removing the embedded soil. This normally will be every 6-12 months.

When should I have my tile & grout professionally cleaned?

You should have your tile and grout cleaned when normal maintenance is still leaving spots and stains in the grout lines.

What spot cleaner should I use on my carpeting?

If you have had your carpets cleaned with us, use the spot cleaner we left with you. If you run out please call us. Others could use plain Woolite diluted with water. Most importantly, always check manufacturer information and pre-test all spot cleaners in an inconspicuous area first.

Will my price change when you get here?

We pride ourselves on our ethics. As long as the amount of service (number of rooms, number of items, etc.)  and the approximate square footage given to us at the time of the quote are the same, the price will be the same. We clean all carpets to the best of our ability. We do not offer a better clean for a higher price ("Deep   etc.). These are nothing more than a proper cleaning.
